Roles and Services
What are some of the roles and services School Counselors provide?
Students of all ages form ideas of their personal strengths and weaknesses and how best to apply them. In Middle School it is important to continue learning about careers and interests.
Academics and Educational Counseling
Additional support from outside the classroom is as important as ever. Students receive support from our counselors from time management, improved ways to focus and a variety of other methods to assist.
Social and Emotional Learning
So much good can come when we learn our strengths and build resilience to overcome the negatives and turn them into positives every day.
Mental Health Awareness
Taking care of ourselves on a daily basis occurs both inside and outside the school. When we are functioning at our best our mental health is strong. Acknowledging when we are struggling is hard to do whether it be sad, angry, frustrated or other countless emotions. Being able to help through a variety of tools and resources outside and offering our abilities through our education is imperative towards ensuring success across all facets.
Community is the backbone of everywhere you go, ours is no different. Utilizing community resources and working with parents is imperative to success. The same goes for inside the school working among the faculty to provide the best services possible.
If there is information to help which doesn't have a home listed above, you will find it in this section. For example: resource links, information for parents and students or general information.
